Finance Analyst | Cebu or Davao (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Ethos Support is seeking a highly detail oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to support financial reporting, operational finance, bookkeeping, compliance coordination, forecasting, reconciliations, and financial process improvement across the organization.

This role will play a critical part in helping maintain financial accuracy, organizational accountability, and compliance across both United States and Philippine business operations. The ideal candidate must understand how Philippine entities operate, including bookkeeping, regulatory filings, and coordination requirements involving agencies such as the SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.

This is not a purely transactional finance role. The Finance Analyst must be proactive, operationally aware, and capable of identifying inconsistencies, risks, and process gaps before they become larger issues. Because this role will support the Philippine entity directly, candidates must be based in Cebu or Davao or be willing to travel regularly to those sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, reconciliations, and operational reporting
  • Own bookkeeping and financial record maintenance for the Philippine entity, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Lead coordination and tracking of SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other Philippine compliance requirements
  • Ensure deadlines, filings, registrations, and regulatory obligations are completed accurately and on time
  • Review P&L statements, expense reporting, and financial data for accuracy and anomalies
  • Perform monthly close processes and financial reporting packages
  • Own the end-to-end tracking of Accounts Receivable (AR) and actively follow up on aging invoices to optimize cash flow.
  • Own the process in invoice reviews, client billing verification, and revenue tracking
  • Monitor financial workflows and identify process gaps, inconsistencies, or risks
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to validate contractor payments and client related financial data
  • Coordinate with external accountants, government agencies, and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Support financial and operational alignment between United States and Philippine entities
  • Help improve internal controls, reporting structures, and financial processes

  • Conduct audit preparation, lender reporting requests, due diligence activities, and financial documentation management, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness at all times

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Finance, or a related field, with at least 3+ years of corporate bookkeeping, general accounting, or financial analysis experience.
  • With an active CPA license is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine bookkeeping, business compliance, and regulatory processes
  • Familiarity with SEC, BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and related Philippine entity requirements
  • Experience handling bookkeeping or finance support for a Philippine corporatio
  • Understanding of how Philippine and United States business entities operate together in a global organization
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysi
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies, trends, and financial risks proactively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience working within QuickBooks Online or similar accounting platforms
  • Comfortable working in a remote and fast paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and discretion
  • Must be based in Cebu or Davao, or willing to travel regularly to those locations

  • Experience supporting a BPO, outsourcing, staffing, or service-based organization
  • Experience with forecasting and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, Gusto, HubSpot, Asana, and Microsoft 365
  • Experience working cross functionally with operations and leadership teams
  • Understanding of accrual versus cash basis reporting

  • Experience working within multinational or globally distributed organizations
